2026–2027 School Calendar and Orientation Dates Are Now Available

The 2026–2027 school calendar and orientation schedule are now available for Zachary Community School District families. These are two good documents to bookmark now, save for later, and return to as the school year gets closer. The first day of school for students is Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Rather than trying to remember everything later, families may want to go ahead and save both documents now, then enjoy the rest of the summer knowing the information is ready when needed.

Orientation Dates

• Thursday, July 23, 2026 — Northwestern Middle School orientation for 7th and 8th grade

• Monday, July 27, 2026 — Zachary High School orientation for 9th grade and new students; Copper Mill Elementary orientation for 5th and 6th grade

• Tuesday, July 28, 2026 — Zachary High School Freshmen Only Day; Zachary Elementary orientation for 3rd and 4th grade

• Wednesday, July 29, 2026 — Rollins Place Elementary orientation for 1st and 2nd grade; Zachary High School orientation for 11th and 12th grade

• Thursday, July 30, 2026 — Northwestern Elementary, Zachary Early Learning Center, and Zachary High School 10th grade orientation, plus an open session for 10th–12th grade students 

  
  

The orientation document also notes that many families should report based on the first initial of the student’s last name, so be sure to check the full schedule for exact times and details.
